Teacher’s Guide

The following opportunities have been hand selected from our list as excellent projects to be worked on in a classroom.  Whether it be working on cards, crafts, collecting food from children’s homes to donate to a local food pantry, writing stories, arranging for music to be shared within your school or communities, all of these have the potential to be a fantastic group project for a class.  Please contact us at info@andoverserviceday.org if you have any questions or need additional guidance.

Browse the options below and click on each opportunity for more information and to contribute.  Anything marked with a red star denotes an activity that is meant for older children (more detail can be found within those projects).

Do you know of an opportunity that isn’t listed here?  Submit new volunteer options to us here.  If you participate in one of these events/drives, take a picture or a video and send it to us!  We’ll showcase your efforts on the website. Any pictures from a public school cannot have the faces of the children as we do not have the parent’s consent to post on this site.  Pictures of finished projects or of the children working on them from behind would make great contributions!

Have any questions?  Visit our Help page or contact us at info@andoverserviceday.org.

ANY DAY OPPORTUNITIES

The following projects are not date specific and can be done at any time, by any number of people, at (mostly) any age – any project marked as a red star are recommended to be done with high school kids or older.  Each project provides an outside resource or reference for further instruction, but feel free to reach out to us at info@andoverserviceday.org for more information if needed.
